A look at the newly filed Public Disclosure Commission records shows the Whitman County District Court candidates spending three times as much money as any other county races.
Candidate John Hart has spent nearly $30,000 so far. His most recent PDC report, filed today, shows increased spending on radio ads and signage.
Candidate Rob Rembert has spent close to $26,000. His latest filing shows recent spending on a meet and greet at Zeppoz as well as signage and campaign literature.
County Commissioner Michael Largent’s total spending went up to about $10,500 while challenger John-Mark Mahnkey has spent about $1,600 of his $3,200 in contributions. Texas Ann Robinson of Pullman became his largest donor with a new payment of $750.
All other candidates have pledged to raise less than $5,000, which requires minimal PDC filing.
